Newhall
Newhall is one of the oldest and most famous communities in the Santa Clarita Valley. Named after businessman Henry Newhall, whose land Santa Clarita would eventually be built upon, Newhall has been used as a filming location for numerous Hollywood productions and has become the home of many famous residents throughout the years, including cowboy and actor Gene Autry, Major League Baseball player James Shields, and more. Despite its age, numerous modern renovations and the opening of several fine dining spots along Newhall’s Main St. have made the area one of the fastest growing communities in Santa Clarita in recent years, with property values increasing sharply.
Other key landmarks in Newhall include:
- William S. Hart County Park
- The Pioneer Oil Refinery
- Canyon Theatre Guild
